The message comes soon after a dramatic turn in the family feud

Nicola Peltz-Beckham has issued an update on social media in which she references "family," in the actress's first post since the feud between her husband and his family took a drastic turn over the weekend.

The eldest Beckham son, Brooklyn, has seemingly been warring with his parents for most of the year, with reports of a feud escalating after he continuously snubbed his family's milestone celebrations.

Earlier this year, Mr Peltz-Beckham, 26, cryptically posted on social media that he would "always choose" his wife as rumours swirled about the family rift.

This weekend, his youngest brother, Cruz, 20, set the record straight after reports suggested David and Victoria had "unfollowed" their eldest child on social media when eagle-eyed fans spotted the change on Instagram.

However, the third-born Beckham insisted it had been Mr Peltz-Beckham who had "blocked" the entire family.

It seems his wife has done the same, with her accounts also no longer connected with her in-laws' profiles.

Taking to Instagram for the first time since the update, Ms Peltz-Beckham shared a snap of her dad, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, on Monday.

In the photo, posted on the 30-year-old's Story, Mr Peltz is smiling at the camera behind a series of different coloured candles.

Her husband also posted a picture with the caption: "Happy Hanukkah."

It seems the couple are happily celebrating the Jewish festival together while requesting the Beckhams "back off" during the festive period. A source told Express: "It would be really in the holiday spirit if the Beckhams could just back off and leave them alone for now... Nicola and Brooklyn haven't been commenting. They just want peace."

The insider continued: "It would be best for everyone for them [the Beckhams] to stop contacting, commenting and briefing because it's not accomplishing anything.

"They have requested that the Beckhams back off. They just want to be left alone... They get upset by the speculation.

"They are trying to take the high road, which is not to react at all and to just live their lives."

The weekend post from Cruz marks the first time in months that any of the family has publicly addressed the rift.

In April, reports emerged that Mr Peltz-Beckham was not on speaking terms with his 23-year-old brother Romeo over the latter's girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. However, Kim, Romeo, and Cruz all dismissed the claims.

A source told Us Weekly in October that Mr Peltz-Beckham had "no interest" in reconciling with his family, claiming he was focused on building a "peaceful, drama-free life" with his spouse.

According to reports, the blocking was triggered by a seemingly innocuous interaction on social media.

Lady Victoria had liked a video posted by her eldest son in which he demonstrated beer-brining a roast chicken, explaining his technique of adding rosemary butter to the dish.

The post, which promoted a clothing brand, attracted comments from fans urging the eldest Beckham child to mend fences with his parents.

However, rather than prompting reconciliation, Lady Victoria's public display of affection reportedly frustrated Mr Peltz-Beckham, leading him to block his parents and his siblings.
