Jeremy Parisi said seeing his wife tear up was 'really tough to watch'

Jeremy Parisi has spoken out in support of his wife Kelly Brook after she broke down in tears on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The 45-year-old model and radio presenter previously declined invitations to appear on the show multiple times, but decided to say yes this year after successfully challenging herself with other reality TV experiences, such as running the London Marathon and competing on Celebrity Race Across the World in 2024 with her partner.

Last night, Ms Brooke became emotional in the Bush Telegraph, which is a small hut in the jungle camp where stars can go to talk privately with cameras and production, when producers surprised her with a photograph of Parisi and their dog, Teddy.

“Seeing Kelly tear up was really tough to watch,” male model Mr Parisi told The Mirror. “We spend most of our time together so I knew the distance would be hard, but it’s definitely tougher than I imagined.”

Despite the separation, Mr Parisi said he is proud of how she is handling camp life.

“She seems to be settling in more and more with each episode. She’s doing brilliantly. I’m beyond proud,” he said.

The model and actor revealed that he and Teddy have been watching every episode together to feel closer to Ms Brook.

He said: “It’s been hard, but watching every night has brought real comfort — it feels like she’s back in our living room, just on the TV instead of next to us on the sofa.”

He plans to fly to Australia to greet her after the show finishes, although he will miss her 46th birthday this weekend. “Not spending her birthday with her will feel strange for us all,” he admitted.

Ms Brook’s time in the jungle has already sparked headlines, particularly over her clashes with Jack Osbourne during cooking duties.

During Wednesday's episode, she struggled while preparing eel for dinner, gagging at the smell.

Mr Osbourne politely asked "Would you like me to cut up the fish?” and Ms Brook initially accepted, only to later insist in the Bush Telegraph that he “elbowed me out of the way like a caveman” in his eagerness to take over.

The exchange came after a separate moment when Mr Osbourne told her she was using the wrong knife to peel potatoes.

His sister, sister Kelly Osbourne, then entered the fray, launching a blistering Instagram rant aimed directly at Ms Brook, despite the I'm a Celeb star not being unable to see it in the jungle.

“Kelly Brook… I don’t think I like you,” she said. “You’re so performative with all the gagging and over-dramatics.

"You bring out my big-sister vibes, I feel like you’re a bit of a bully.”

Ms Osbourne's intervention followed growing debate among viewers about Ms Brook’s behaviour in the kitchen and her insistence on preparing the eel herself.

The situation has also revived discussion about Ms Brook’s past tensions with I’m A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec, stemming from her short-lived stint on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

In their memoir, the duo claimed she once asked them “And what do you do on the show?” on her first day as a judge.

The TV star later alleged they “clearly didn’t want” her there, accusing them of protecting their egos.

Piers Morgan, who judged alongside her, recently said she “still blames them” for her swift dismissal.

Brook previously admitted joining the jungle was partly an attempt to push herself after becoming overly reliant on her husband during their appearance on Celebrity Race Across the World.

“I relied on Jeremy so much, so when this opportunity came up I thought, ‘I should really test myself,’” she said before entering camp.

She also expressed concern about leaving him at home alone. “I didn’t freeze any meals for Jeremy and he’ll probably be living on takeaways,” Ms Brook said, adding that his mother is staying with him to help.

“He is Italian. At the end of the day, he’s a mamma’s boy.”

Before entering the jungle, Ms Brook asked viewers to be kind about her appearance after she was hit with online abuse about her figure.

The presenter had faced cruel comments about her body shortly after arriving at Brisbane airport last week.

Her husband defended her, saying: “She is so beautiful… and she looks amazing on TV.”

In the days before filming began, Ms Brook urged fans not to compare her current shape to how she looked earlier in her career.

She said: “I’m obviously not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore. Bodies change, life changes. I just hope people can accept me for how I look now and not hold me up against the past.

"I’m older, but I’m still strong and I’m still fit — and that’s what matters most.”
