Ms Adams has remained silent until now whilst BBC Scotland conducts its internal investigation into her conduct at the Glasgow-based station.
The BBC's investigation into Adams centres on claims about her behaviour spanning several years, with current and former Radio Scotland colleagues being interviewed by corporation officials.
Sources within BBC Scotland revealed the probe was triggered by concerns about an alleged incident during a staff debriefing attended by Adams and Victoria Easton Riley, the broadcaster's new Head of Radio.
Adams firmly rejected suggestions of any confrontation, stating: "I remember Ms Easton Riley standing at the back of a debrief meeting - in an open plan office - on one occasion, but there was certainly no shouting on my part. It's not my style."
