Jesy Nelson has posted a candid update about her twin babies' health as she continues to advocate for change to the medical system following their diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1).
The former Little Mix star, 34, became a mother to her two daughters last year, but revealed in an emotional post in January that they'd been diagnosed with the condition, which may mean they will never walk.
Following the heartbreaking news, Ms Nelson has decided to campaign for change to help others with the progressive muscle-wasting diagnosis and potentially help parents to spot signs and symptoms before it becomes too late.
However, a significant update came this week as the singer shared her daughters had been fitted with leg splints.

She continued: "It made me really sad," before she showed Instagram followers the tiny leg splints.

|To their relief, the twins were born healthy, but the couple's joy was short-lived following their daughters' diagnosis with SMA.
Opening up about their split, Ms Nelson cited the stress of the last few months as a big factor.
She reflected: "We have been through such a traumatic experience and for us, our girls are our main priority and our main focus.
"We want to give them the most positive, happy and uplifting time and energy and because we have both been through such a traumatic experience, the energy wasn't right between us, which is understandable."

Determined to channel her sad situation into something positive, Ms Nelson began her campaign at the start of the year.
Appearing on ITV's This Morning in January, she told presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: "I'm actually overwhelmed.
"I wanted it to get as much reach as possible to raise awareness about it, and I actually can’t believe how amazing the response has been.
"Just people watching to learn, and other families that are dealing with this diagnosis… It's a lot, but it's what I wanted it to do."
