The Clarkson's Farm star has been shaken by the killing of political commentator Charlie Kirk

Television presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he feels afraid for his personal security as a newspaper columnist after conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in America on Wednesday.

Mr Kirk was delivering a speech to thousands of students when he was struck by a bullet to the neck while responding to an inquiry about gun violence in America.

The conservative activist, who established the political movement Turning Point USA, was beginning his American Comeback Tour when the attack occurred.

Footage circulating on social media captured the moment Mr Kirk flinched in his seat as the gunshot rang out. Emergency services transported him to the hospital, where President Trump later confirmed his death.
