The presenter has faced allegations of 'bullying'

ITV is understood to be standing by Loose Women star Kaye Adams after the presenter was suspended from her BBC radio programme.

Ms Adams, 62, had been hosting Mornings With Kaye Adams since 2010 on BBC Radio Scotland.

It emerged over the weekend the presenter had been suspended following accusations of bullying.

It is understood this includes claims of shouting and screaming at a junior member of staff.

Despite this action by the BBC, ITV is thought to be supporting Ms Adams.

ITV colleagues are thought to be “shocked” by the reports, according to the Daily Mail.

A source told the publication that “Kaye is regarded as one of the more calm members of the Loose Women cast.”

Complaints were raised against the chat show panelist under the BBC’s Call It Out scheme, the publication also reports.

The scheme was set up following misconduct scandals involving former MasterChef presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Ms Adams has been absent from the airwaves since October 6, whilst the corporation conducts its inquiry.

The corporation declined to discuss specific details about individual cases.

A BBC spokesperson told GB News: "We would not comment on individuals. If any complaints or concerns are raised, we have robust internal processes in place to manage these."

However, a source from BBC Scotland told MailOnline: "There have been complaints about her behaviour, and they've removed her while they investigate it.

"It's being talked about all over Pacific Quay [BBC Scotland's headquarters]."

After the Gregg Wallace fiasco, they're now getting much tougher on complaints about the talent and are starting to take these things seriously."

Mr Wallace was removed from cooking show MasterChef after allegations were made against him which spanned 19 years.

BBC chairman Samir Shah acknowledged that certain powerful figures make colleagues' lives "unbearable".

He warned presenters: "After today, let me state it clearly, if you think you're too big a star or too important to live by the values of this organisation, not only are you wrong, but we will find you out."

GB News has contacted ITV over the reports.
