Emmerdale actress Katie Hill has shared a sad family update which has prompted both fans and co-stars to offer supportive messages.
The Sarah Sugden star posted on Instagram to reveal the heartbreaking news that her cherished dog Millie has died at the age of 16.
The post featured photographs spanning many years, including images from her childhood alongside a video of Millie frolicking among yellow flowers.
"Our little millie moo," Ms Hill wrote alongside the collection of images, "the best dog ever. 16 years of loving you, life won't be the same without you. I'll never forget all the beautiful memories we made."

The emotional post prompted an outpouring of support from colleagues and followers alike.
