Gemma Collins responded to the GB News coverage of her involvement with the Department for Education
|"I was honoured to do it and it is a topic close to my heart that I've been delaing with and it's all going to become clear, hun.
"So it's all good, it's all positive, let's keep spreading the love and the positivity. But yeah, GB News - I love you!"
The controversy stems from a social media campaign in which Ms Collins appeared alongside Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson at Westminster.
A teaser clip released by the Department for Education showed the reality star walking through government offices and asking: "Right. What are we doing to help the children?"
Ms Phillipson then appears at her office doorway, responding: "Come in. Let's have a chat."
The video was captioned "Gemma Collins is in the building, and she's got questions. Coming soon."
Former Health Secretary Wes Streeting subsequently shared the footage, writing "When the GC met BP" with a fire emoji.

The former Towie star declared she 'loves' GB News
|Government officials explained that Ms Collins was invited because she left school with minimal qualifications and could discuss preventing similar outcomes for today's pupils.
Bev questioned the collaboration during GB News' Late Show on Tuesday, broadcasting from Washington DC.
"Why do we care what Gemma Collins says to the Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson?" Bev asked.
She argued that parents would feel more reassured seeing education experts consulted instead, such as "Britain's strictest head."
"Gemma Collins knows nothing about what children need," the presenter declared, adding that education policy should focus on ensuring pupils achieve "the very best qualifications possible."
The Department for Education defended its decision to work with Collins, emphasising the importance of engaging audiences through various platforms.
A spokesperson stated: "The department covers education throughout people's lives, and it's crucial that we meet people where they are, with information they need to know whether that's at weekly face-to-face events with parents and teachers or on social media platforms."
Officials said the collaboration helped promote post-16 education opportunities and high-quality vocational courses to a broader audience.
