Viewers have been getting in touch after the GB News star secured a world exclusive

GB News viewers have heaped praise on Late Show host Beverly Turner after she secured a world-exclusive interview with US President Donald Trump last night.

Bev sat down with the President and grilled him on a wide range of topics, from the BBC to immigration - nothing was off limits.

Today, viewers have written in to the People's Channel to praise the journalist, with one saying that she performed an "absolute blinder" and many praising the "personal and human nature" of her interview with Mr Trump.

One viewer said: "Bev did a brilliant job interviewing Trump. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Great viewing."

Another wrote in: "Bev played a blinder, she got Trump to show his human side. This is why people like him, because he has one."

A third penned: "What a lovely natural interview with Mr Trump. Very respectful and easy to listen to and I love the photo of you and Mr Trump in the White House as well, bet you framed that one on the wall. Well done Bev."

During the world exclusive, Donald Trump said that it is his "obligation" to sue the BBC for the way it edited a speech he made on January 6, 2021, which gave the impression he had made a direct call for violent action against US politicians.

Mr Trump told Bev: "I have an obligation to do it. This was so egregious. If you don’t take action, it doesn’t stop it from happening to others.

"I think you probably have an obligation. I’d like to find out why they did it, it’s just so bad."

Despite apologising to President Trump, the public broadcaster said that they "strongly disagree there is a basis for a defamation claim".

He explained: "I made a beautiful statement, and they made it into a not beautiful statement.

"Just before this interview [With GB News,] I was told that they did it again on Newsnight."

He explained: "I have just settled with 60 minutes in New York, CBS because they had Kamala on their news channel the night or two nights before the election. Her answer was so bad it was election interference.

"That's how bad it was," Mr Trump added, "That's not as bad as what BBC did. What they did is worse."

He also discussed immigration and pointed to it as a major problem facing Britons.

Mr Trump explained that his administration is "very tough at the border" and "would take people immediately back" as the US was flooded with "millions" of illegal arrivals.

He suggested that Britain "could do the same thing", before going on to say: "If you don’t get them out, you’re not going to have a country left".

"I mean, when you look at Europe, they’re coming from some of the worst places on Earth, and you’re destroying your country.

"I’ve told some European leaders: you’ve got to stop. Your immigration is going to destroy you if you let the wrong people in.

"In our case, we had people coming from jails, mental institutions, drug dealers some of the worst scum and we’ve been getting a lot of them out.

"If you look at some of our cities, we’ve even sent in the military.

"Washington DC was very unsafe, and now it’s the safest place in the country. It took me about two months to really make it good."
