Former Eurovision winner Cheryl Baker has scolded GB News presenter Nana Akua for criticising the UK's 2025 Eurovision entry, urging her to "get behind your country".
The star and the host were discussing Remember Monday, the UK's Eurovision hopefuls who will perform their song 'What the Hell Just Happened?' at the grand final in Basel tomorrow night.
The trio Remember Monday, consisting of Holly-Anne Hull, Lauren Byrne and Charlotte Steele, will be among 26 acts competing in Saturday's grand final.
According to William Hill, the UK act has attracted significant betting interest, accounting for 9.3 per cent of all bets placed on the competition, second only to favourites Sweden.

Nana responded: "I’m behind the country but this is an awful song."
Baker said: "No, it isn’t. It doesn’t matter one man’s meat is another man’s poison. I think it’s a great song. I like you, though!
"I mean, there are some really good songs in this year’s competition really good ones so they are up against it.
"But they’re great singers, they give a great performance, and I love the fact that they rip their skirts off at the top of the show.
"I don’t know where they got that idea from, but I honestly think they’ll win. If not, I hope at least they end up on the left-hand side of the board."
The trio representing the UK met at sixth-form college in Hampshire and have been performing together for more than a decade, previously appearing on BBC One's The Voice in 2019.
They spent months preparing for Eurovision, writing approximately 15 songs with collaborators including Little Mix producers Billen Ted and Thomas Stengaard, who composed Denmark's 2013 Eurovision-winning entry.

GETTY
The Eurovision grand final takes place tomorrow night at the St Jakobshalle arena in Basel, Switzerland.
The band has been enjoying their sudden rise to fame, with Holly-Anne Hull telling The Independent: "We feel like we've won already!"
Despite the pressure of representing the UK, Remember Monday appear to be taking it all in their stride, even singing the meanest insults they receive in "cherubic harmonies" on their TikTok page.
The trio have made a pact with their 35-person team to get matching tattoos of "WTHJH?" if they place in the top five at Eurovision.
