Patsy Kensit will be making a return to Emmerdale 20 years after her character Sadie King departed the Dales, and fans have been left divided by the news.
Sadie, who was married to Jimmy King (Nick Miles), was first seen on the soap back in 2004 before the character left two years later.
Her ruthless ambition led to several dramatic storylines throughout her time on the soap, including a house explosion and high-stakes affairs with a young Robert Sugden (played by Karl Davies) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Sadie's ultimate comeuppance came at the hands of Cain, who double-crossed her, stole ransom money, and dramatically left her behind.

Teasing the iconic character's comeback, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw promised some explosive consequences.
"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village," she stated.
"Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie's seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales."
The actress herself added: "I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before.

While some fans haven't welcomed the news quite so strongly, others were intrigued by the soap star's return.
Some theories began circulating moments after the announcement, with one asking on X: "So what’s the betting she brings a full-grown child with her…… Who's the daddy!!!" (sic)
Another delighted fan shared a series of clapping emojis, enthusing: "She's back!"

Another group of fans criticised the Emmerdale decision, though, with many questioning the significance of Sadie's comeback.
One complained: "Bored of her already. Vile character with no redeeming qualities. More scheming and backstabbing. Sick of your obsession with villains."
"Why she even coming back there is nothing there for her no family no friends nothing?" one asked, with another echoing this by simply adding: "Why?"
Outside of Emmerdale, Ms Kensit has starred in a wealth of films and TV shows, including Lethal Weapon 2 and Holby City.
