King Charles is set to star in a new documentary featuring David Beckham, just as his son, Brooklyn, appears to grow closer to Prince Harry.

David will appear in the King's upcoming Amazon Prime documentary, showcasing the monarch's environmental philosophy and the work of the King's Foundation, according to new reports.

The former England captain, who is set to receive a knighthood in the King's birthday honours, has agreed to participate in the feature-length film.

The documentary aims to demonstrate how to "transform people, places and ultimately the planet" according to the King's vision. Production is expected to conclude later this year or early 2026, according to reports in the Times.

Beckham, now an ambassador for the King's Foundation, has developed a close relationship with the monarch. The two have bonded over bee-keeping, and Beckham has attended royal banquets and weddings, as well as supporting an air-ambulance fundraiser led by Prince William.

The footballer teaming up with the monarch comes one month after Brooklyn Beckham, who is understood to not be in contact with his parents, dined at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's house.

Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, who live approximately 90 minutes away from the Sussexes in Los Angeles, reportedly had "a wonderful time" at the dinner.

It is understood that the dinner was part of a larger gathering rather than an exclusive meeting between the two couples.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly "has a lot of sympathy" for Nicola due to similar media portrayals they have experienced.

In addition, Prince Harry reportedly offered Brooklyn his "unwavering support" during the dinner, drawing from his own experiences of family tensions.

Filming for the Amazon project began in January at Dumfries House in Scotland, the headquarters of the King's Foundation. The documentary will explore the philosophy outlined in the King's 2010 book "Harmony: A new way of looking at our world", in which he called for a "dramatic revolution" in the way we treat the planet.

A Palace source said the King was "greatly looking forward to seeing how the harmony concept can be communicated to a new and international audience, using some of the best creative talents in TV".

The source continued to tell the Times: "This is a chance to 'show, not tell' how they can transform people, places and ultimately the planet. I think many will be genuinely amazed at the scale, scope and vision of it all, for which Dumfries House continues to be the living laboratory".

A film crew attended St James's Palace on Thursday for the Amazon project, capturing an annual awards event attended by celebrity supporters. Oscar winners Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep were among the guests, alongside Penny Lancaster, Alan Titchmarsh, Raymond Blanc and Stanley Tucci.

Winslet, described by royal aides as "a friend of the foundation", was overheard telling the King: "Don't worry, I've got your back." Royal household sources suggested the British actress may strengthen her role as a supporter of the charity in future.

The Amazon film represents a departure for the Palace, which has traditionally worked with UK networks such as the BBC and ITV. Film crews have spent time with the King, capturing him on engagements and with celebrity supporters.
