The star said they are 'gutted'

The Coronation Concert has been rocked by a last minute pull out, with a well-known star being forced to withdraw her services from the event.

Zoe Ball told fans she was “absolutely gutted” at having to miss the historic event after falling ill.

Ball is not the first name to withdraw from the concert, with pop star Freya Ridings also falling sick.

The presenter was due to work at the event for the BBC, who are covering the musical spectacle on TV and radio.

But she announced that she would not be present at the event as she is bed-bound instead.

The Radio 2 breakfast star tweeted: “Absolutely gutted… the sickness bug has got me”, along with an emoji portraying sickness.“

Was meant to be heading to Windsor Castle.”

Scott Mills and Dermot O’Leary will be covering the broadcast duties instead as a line-up of singers prepare to perform in front of 20,000 members of the public and invited guests.

They will be celebrating the crowning of King Charles and Queen Camilla, which happened at the official Coronation service yesterday at Westminster Abbey.

Katy Perry, Take That, Lionel Richie, Paloma Faith and Olly Murs are among the host of stars who are preparing to take to the stage for the historic event.

They will not be joined by Lost Without You singer Freya Ridings who announce she will not be appearing as she is no longer able to do so.

She was set to perform a duet with duet with composer Alex French during the event.
