The eldest Beckham child chose to ignore the olive branches extended by his family on his 27th birthday

Brooklyn Beckham marked his 27th birthday on Wednesday in style thanks to his wife Nicola Peltz.

The budding chef returned to Instagram to give fans a peek into the lavish celebrations his other hald had planned, while conspicuously failing to acknowledge birthday tributes from his estranged parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham.

The actress, 31, organised an extravagant surprise featuring golden balloons, floral arrangements, gifts and pink doughnuts arranged to spell out a birthday greeting for her husband.

"Wow, that's cool," Brooklyn remarked upon discovering the display in footage shared by his life partner on social media.

"You have to make a wish," she told him as he leant over the treats before blowing out candles.

The actress captioned her post: "Happy birthday baby. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! You light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you."

Brooklyn responded warmly in the comments, writing: "My baby girl xxx."

Earlier that day, both David and Victoria had posted throwback photographs with birthday messages on their Instagram Stories, which Brooklyn did not reshare.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source alleged that Brooklyn reacted negatively to his parents' social media tributes, describing them as "performative."

"Brooklyn is disheartened that his parents chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday. These are the type of performative actions that he's been trying to put an end to," the insider disclosed.

The source added: "Brooklyn and Nicola have been trying to stay away from this ongoing drama and focus on each other. They would love to move on from this."

The birthday messages came despite Brooklyn having reportedly instructed his parents not to mention him on social media and to contact him solely through his lawyer.

Reports indicate that Brooklyn's repeated appeals for his parents to cease such posts had previously been ignored, prompting the formal legal approach last summer.

Romeo Beckham, 23, joined his parents in publicly acknowledging his brother's milestone, sharing a throwback photograph of the pair as young children posing with footballs in matching sports shirts.

The younger Beckham sibling did not include any written message alongside the image.

His youngest brother, Cruz, also followed suit later in the day, expressing his "love" for his eldest sibling despite his desires for no public contact.

Brooklyn still has his family blocked on social media, meaning he would not have seen the public birthday tributes from David, Victoria, Cruz or Romeo.

This also explains why none of his family were able to tag the 27-year-old in any of their social media olive branches.

Sir David's posts featured childhood images of Brooklyn grinning beside his father, captioned: "27 today. Happy birthday Bust. We love you."

Victoria shared a separate throwback image, writing: "Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn. I love you so much."

Brooklyn addressed the family rift directly in January, publishing a six-page statement on Instagram declaring he had no intention of reconciling with his parents.

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he wrote at the time.

The 27-year-old accused David and Victoria of attempting to undermine his marriage to his wife and claimed they had placed "countless lies in the media" to maintain their public image.

Among his most notable allegations, Brooklyn claimed his mother "hijacked" his first dance at his 2022 wedding, dancing "very inappropriately" on him in front of 500 guests.

"I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life," he stated, accusing them of prioritising "brand Beckham" over genuine family relationships.

David and Victoria have yet to respond publicly to the allegations.
