Victoria Beckham has followed in the footsteps of husband David Beckham by sharing a birthday tribute to their estranged eldest son, Brooklyn, on Instagram this morning.
The olive branches arrive despite having received a legal letter last summer warning his parents against referencing him on social media.
The former England captain was the first to reach out, posting two throwback photographs to mark Brooklyn turning 27, including one showing him and Victoria holding their son as a baby in a swimming pool.
"27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x," Sir David wrote, using his childhood nickname for Brooklyn. (sic)

Victoria soon followed suit. Alongside a different image of the parents with their eldest son, she wrote on Instagram: "Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn.
"I love you so much," she added, before signing off her post with a strong of love-heart emojis.
The birthday messages arrive six weeks after Brooklyn published a bombshell six-page statement on Instagram declaring he had no wish to mend relations with his family.

|"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he wrote in January.
The 27-year-old accused his parents of manipulating press narratives throughout his entire life and claimed they had prioritised their public image above genuine family bonds.
"The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into," Brooklyn stated.
He alleged his parents had "tried endlessly to ruin" his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz and accused them of placing "countless lies in the media" to maintain their public facade.

Brooklyn's statement contained specific allegations about his 2022 wedding to Nicola. He claimed his mother "hijacked" what was meant to be his romantic first dance with his bride, with Victoria instead waiting on stage to dance with him.
"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life," Brooklyn wrote.
He also alleged Victoria cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress at the last moment, forcing his wife to urgently find an alternative.
Regarding his father, Brooklyn claimed he travelled to London for David's 50th birthday celebrations but was "rejected for a week" whilst waiting in a hotel room. He alleged David only agreed to meet him on the condition that Nicola was not invited, describing this as "a slap in the face."
