Billy Joel has opened up about his health following a diagnosis with a rare neurological condition.
Despite the seriousness of the issue, the music legend has reassured fans that he is "doing fine."
Last month, the Uptown Girl singer revealed he would be pulling out of upcoming tour dates after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a condition that causes fluid buildup in the brain, potentially affecting balance, cognition, and coordination.
Appearing on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, host Howard Stern shared a personal update after recently having dinner with Billy, explaining that the iconic performer is in relatively good spirits.

"He wants people to know that. He's got to deal with some medical stuff, but he was delightful."
Howard also recalled celebrating Joel’s 76th birthday on May 9, describing the evening as light-hearted and engaging.
“He brought out a guitar,” he noted, adding they had a “great conversation.”
In typical Stern fashion, the radio personality couldn’t resist a joke about the night’s events.
“He didn’t seem real impressed,” Howard quipped, laughing that Billy "threw up" after he tried to play a tune himself.

The Piano Man singer then expressed his regret to fans, stating: "I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding."

In March, he postponed eight tour dates to focus on recovering from recent surgery, though the specific condition was not disclosed at that time.
In late February, the singer fell after performing It's Still Rock and Roll to Me during a concert in Connecticut.
He quickly recovered from the incident, though it remains unclear whether this fall was related to his NPH diagnosis or merely coincidental.
Joel said he is looking forward to returning to the stage when his health permits.
The singer has cancelled a total of 17 dates, including the eight previously rescheduled shows.
