Silent Witness viewers have expressed their displeasure with Wednesday night's episode, which concluded this week's plot titled The Enemy Within.
Some claimed they even "switched off" as they labelled the episode as being overhauled by "wokeness".
The Enemy Within centred on a stabbing incident in Birmingham that initially appears to have racial motivations.
A disturbing video then surfaced, warning that the victim was a "racist pig" and threatening "the end of white people."

However, the investigation took an unexpected turn when forensic experts uncovered that the inflammatory footage is actually a deepfake.
Artificial intelligence technology had been deployed to harvest legitimate images before corrupting and repurposing them into the misleading clip, described as "unsophisticated, but convincing."
The two-part story has divided longtime viewers, with some threatening to abandon the programme entirely.
Critics have taken issue with the show's shifting identity, arguing that forensic scientists Jack and Nikki now behave more like police officers.
Some also fumed that they found the storyline to be "woke propaganda."
One X user fumed: "That's it! Next episode on iPlayer is not related to this... Woke bulls*** from the BBC of the highest order... #silentwitness."
Another asked: "What the hell was that ending? Keir Starmer and the woke left must have written that script!
"Absolute garbage from the BBC turned a decent series into lefty claptrap. Fair to say I won't be watching another episode again... #silentwitness."

One fan who ended up switching off from the show penned: "I have just managed 1min 20secs of #SilentWitness that's me finished with it. Typical BBC lies and propaganda. #DefundTheBBC."
Others took issue with the characters' seemingly being unaware of AI, with one adding: "The latest episode of #silentwitness is probably one of the worst and I'm a huge fan.
"The police in this episode appear to be the only ones in the UK unaware that social media is awash with AI and when someone says "it's not me" you should probably check that first!"
Others remained full of praise for the crime drama, though, with one viewer sharing: "These people are just everything to me!! The portrayals and acting of each individual blows my mind every time #SilentWitness." (Sic)

Looking ahead, Jack actor David Caves has described as "a very personal odyssey" this series.
The character becomes entangled with troubling individuals at his local gym, and the situation escalates dramatically when he appears implicated in a death.
"He must decide whether to involve Nikki and the Bowman team, as he struggles to remember if he killed the man," the BBC teased.
