Eagle-eyed fans were left concerned after noticing Henson seemed to have an injury

Countryfile aired as normal on Easter Sunday, but BBC viewers were left concerned as they noticed host Adam Henson had seemingly suffered an injury.

Henson, 58, visited the Trent Valley in last weekend’s episode of the agricultural programme, but a mystery mark on his face left viewers wondering if he had been hurt.

The presenter seemed to have deep scratch on his cheek as he appeared on the show, which prompted a series of concerned social media posts.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one person asked: “Has Adam been kicked in the face by a rare breed #Countryfile.”

“Adam needed to explain the elephant in the room...p***ed and walked into a door? #countryfile,” another wrote.

“Did you burn your face? Looks painful,” someone else inquired.

“Adam looks like he's developed a birth mark on his right cheek since his last appearance! Although there is a bit of a continuity issue with it tonight! #Countryfile,” a fourth shared.

According to OK!, someone else added: “@BBCCountryfile I missed the start of today's programme what has poor Adam done to his face?”

Henson has been a Countryfile staple since 2001, and while he doesn’t share many details about his private life he did keep fans updated after undergoing surgery in 2022.

Taking to social media following his hip procedure, OK! reports the Countryfile host penned: “It’s now been pretty much 12 hours since I had my hip resurfacing operation.

“The feeling in my legs and waist have all come back now, pretty much my right leg, which is the leg I had done, is still a bit tingly and a bit weird.

"I’ve never really had surgery quite like this before, it does make me feel for all those people that have gone through things an awful lot worse."

Countryfile episodes usually gets fans talking, and a recent instalment saw former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson left baffled.

The 63-year-old fumed “for crying out loud” as he took aim at the show’s presenter, John Craven for wearing safety clothing while reporting from an empty field.

Taking to his Instagram, WalesOnline reports the Grand Tour star posted a clip of the episode showing Craven, 83, wearing building site safety gear as he stood in a field.

The journalist and television presenter talked about an archaeology dig as he wore the confusing outfit.

Clarkson asked: “Why is he wearing a hat and a high visibility jacket? It’s a field for crying out loud.”

Craven was visiting “Britain’s Pompeii,” which had been perfectly preserved by a fire which happened in the Bronze Age.
