Andrew Pierce told GB News members about his friendship with Dame Joan Collins in a behind-the-scenes clip today.
The award-winning actress delivered a speech at the book launch for Finding Margaret, Andrew's new book, last night, and posed for a photo with Andrew and his GB News co-presenter Bev Turner.
In a behind-the-scenes clip after Britain's Newsroom today, he said: "Well, I'm still on a high after the launch of my book Finding Margaret, which is the emotional search to find my birth mother.
"I was delighted. There was a huge turnout at the Carlton Club last night. I'm not a member of the Carlton Club but a mate of mine is. It's the home of the Tory party."
Andrew shared there was a "star line-up" of attendees, including former Chancellor Norman Lamont and Jeremy Vine.
"The star of the show? Not Bev Turner, who was there, of course, but Dame Joan Collins, who is a very old friend of mine," he said.

"She spoke. She was rather waspish and witty and amusing about me.
"In fact, she took the mick, but I don't mind because she said she's read the extracts in the Daily Mail and is looking forward to reading the book.
"Jeremy Vine was there too. Lots of people were there, but it was fantastic to have the endorsement of Dame Joan Collins, who is, after all, a Hollywood legend."
