The weather agency said there was "uncertainty" in the details, but between two and five centimetres could accumulate above 150 metres, while up to 15 centimetres when reaching 300 metres in parts of Wales.

Some snow could accumulate at lower elevations.

Strong northeasterly winds are set to accompany the weather, which could exacerbate impacts and conditions in some areas.

The areas affected include Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Telford and Wrekin, Warwickshire, West Midlands Conurbation and Worcestershire in the West Midlands; Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, Wrexham in Wales; Gloucestershire in South West England; and Oxfordshire in London & South East England.
