Holidaymakers can add the upgrade when booking their next flight

Wizz Air has unveiled a new option for travellers who want more room and perks on their next getaway.

The budget carrier announced WIZZ Class today, an add-on service aimed at those who want extra personal space and convenience without a hefty price tag.

It's available on select routes connecting Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, London Luton, London Gatwick and Rome Fiumicino.

Passengers who book WIZZ Class get one of the middle seats in the first row - specifically 1B or 1E - reserved and kept empty next to them.

Row one already comes with extra legroom, meaning passengers can stretch out or get some work done mid-flight.

The service is offered as an add-on when you're booking Smart or Plus bundles, which already include priority boarding and a 10kg carry-on case.

On top of the extra space, WIZZ Class passengers also receive a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and snack during their journey.

Commercial officer at Wizz Air, Silvia Mosquera, said: "Business travel is growing across our network, and we've listened to what our passengers want. They're asking for a bit more space and speed, but they don't want to pay legacy airline prices for business class.

"WIZZ Class answers that demand - offering passengers the room they crave and the service they deserve, without compromising our simple, convenient model. We are also committed to staying a single-class carrier with our efficiency targets."

This is not the only Wizz Air update coming this year, as the airline promises big changes, including new routes.
