Many Britons have enjoyed a taste of summer this week as temperatures reached the mid-20°Cs in some parts of the UK.
This has inspired holidaymakers to start planning their next staycation, with five destinations proving the most popular right now.
New insights from Parkdean Resorts found the current trending destinations, with Morecambe Bay taking the top spot.
This is based on search data over the last seven days, and suggests Britons are eager to find panoramic views and long coastal walks.

A spokesperson at Parkdean Resorts said: "A sunny spell landing right over the Easter holidays is exactly what most families are hoping for. Over the past week, we’ve seen a sharp rise in searches for beach hotspots, with Britons eager to book last-minute breaks and make the most of the good weather."
STAYCATIONS
Coastal breaks proved particularly popular, with 'caravan holidays' being another hit. In fact, searches for this rose 34 per cent in the last 30 days, showing a push for flexibility and affordable travel.
The expert added: “Coastal destinations are leading the surge in demand, particularly spots that offer easy access for short stays.
"Trending locations include Morecambe Bay in Lancashire, Druridge Bay in Northumberland, Dover in Kent, Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, and Looe Bay in Cornwall - all of which are seeing increased interest from holidaymakers looking to stay closer to home."
The top destinations are not completely random, according to the travel pros. Social media seems to play a key role in inspiring trips - "TikTok searches for 'Newquay Cornwall UK' and 'Kynance Cove Cornwall' surging by over 1,000 per cent in the last seven days, as travellers look to viral content for destination ideas".

Cornwall remains a firm favourite among Britons
| GETTYLooe Bay in Cornwall rounded out the top five. Its appearance in the list is no surprise - Cornwall is known as one of the most popular staycation spots.
The spokesperson added: “Cornwall holidays have always been a popular choice for Brits, but it’s easy to see why it remains such a firm favourite. It makes a perfect destination for a spring break, with its beautiful beaches, picturesque coastal walks and family-friendly attractions.
"For many, it delivers that ‘abroad-at-home’ feeling, but right on our doorstep - making it an especially appealing choice for an Easter getaway.
“Last-minute staycations are also proving popular, as travellers look for flexible, budget-friendly ways to enjoy a break without committing too far in advance.
"Booking last-minute means you can take advantage of sudden changes in weather and make the most of destinations nearby. The majority of Brits can be at the coast in under two hours, so booking a last-minute trip in your region is accessible for many.”
