As well as sunny swimming, it also offers people the chance to swim beneath the night sky as part of its "starlight swims".

According to Inverclyde Leisure who maintains it, the heated pool and the stars create the perfect atmosphere.

“There's no better way to make the most of fresh, crisp summer evenings than with a starlight swim under a clear sky and glistening stars," they said.

'Take a night-time dip in our open air pool and let the warmth of the pool create the perfect atmosphere."

A University of Glasgow student described it as “hands down the best pool in Scotland”.

Others have also been full of praise for it on TripAdvisor, with some even saying they felt like they were abroad.

One wrote: "I could have been in the Caribbean or Italy, where I was just back from.

“It was glorious, sun was shining and when you look up at the sky you could be anywhere in the world."
