Thomas Cook unveils new long-haul packages offering year-round sunshine - with deals from £439

Direct flights are available from London Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester, making it easier than ever for Britons to discover this rapidly changing destination.

The move marks a step in Thomas Cook's push to offer more diverse luxury getaways at affordable prices, with seven-night packages starting from just £439 per person.

The launch comes as British appetite for Middle East getaways has increased.

Thomas Cook has seen bookings to the United Arab Emirates jump by more than 700 per cent compared to last year, which clearly sparked the decision to bring Saudi Arabia into the mix.

Travellers can pick from a range of 4- and 5-star properties, with stays offered on room-only, bed and breakfast, or half-board terms.

Direct flights run daily from the three main UK airports, while those flying from Birmingham International, Edinburgh or London Stansted can reach Saudi Arabia via connecting services.
