The first flights will begin in spring 2026

British travellers heading to Berlin will soon have more options, with Eurowings launching direct flights from London Heathrow to the German capital from March 29, 2026.

The Lufthansa-owned airline is set to operate the route up to 12 times weekly, giving holidaymakers plenty of flexibility when planning their trips.

It's great news for anyone who loves a city break or wants to explore what Germany has to offer.

The Berlin connection is one of three new capital city routes the airline is adding to its Summer 2026 schedule, making it easier than ever to jet off from Heathrow.

British holidaymakers who want to explore more of the continent after visiting Berlin can take advantage of exciting new connection routes.

The airline is also launching new routes from Berlin to Lisbon, Sarajevo, Naples, Olbia in Sardinia, and the Greek gem of Kavala.

Sarajevo and Kavala will both be served with direct flights from Berlin for the first time ever, which opens up more possibilities for Britons searching for something a bit different.

Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof said: "The measures decided by the German federal government are helping us stabilise and, in part, expand our range of flights to other European countries.

"This is particularly the case in Berlin. Thanks to our connections to London, Lisbon, and Sarajevo, as well as other attractive destinations, we are strengthening our presence in the capital.

"We are consciously investing in the BER location because we see the region's potential and want to offer the people of Berlin and Brandenburg an even more diverse European network."

Eurowings is also boosting flights from Berlin to some of the most popular holiday spots in Europe. Mallorca is also getting six extra flights per week.

Split in Croatia and Zurich are both getting two more weekly services, while Faro in Portugal, Larnaca in Cyprus, and Helsinki are all seeing an extra flight added.

This is not the only new route that is set to connect Britons to more holiday spots in the coming months.

Budget airline Ryanair has unveiled three brand new routes connecting the UK to year-round sunshine and lively cities.

British Airways has also launched more flight options. This includes routes to a bucket list destination that it will go to for the first time.
