Holidaymakers can book a holiday on the ship now

MSC Cruises has unveiled fresh details on its new flagship, giving a first look at the stunning artwork that will adorn MSC World Asia.

The vessel is set to begin seven-night Mediterranean voyages from December 4, 2026, calling at some of the region's most beloved ports, including Barcelona, Marseille, Naples and Rome.

The company has given holidaymakers a sneak peek at the new interior. It will showcase carefully selected art pieces throughout, all designed to reflect Asia's vibrant heritage, artistic traditions and natural beauty.

Guests can expect everything from dramatic large-scale installations to eye-catching sculptures, each created exclusively for the vessel.

One of the most spectacular pieces is a striking stainless-steel dragon that will hang from the ceiling, suspended 10 metres above the World Promenade.

This impressive sculpture stretches 12 metres long and nine metres wide, decorated with nearly 700 mirrors and 3,000 LED lights that come alive in the evening.

British artist David Harber, who has spent over three decades creating sculptures, sundials and water features, has designed large-scale koi fish sculptures for the World Promenade.

These flowing pieces carry deep cultural meaning, symbolising perseverance, strength and transformation – qualities that perfectly capture the spirit of travel and exploration.

Vietnamese artist Hoan Phan brings his bold, colourful creations to select areas of the ship, blending traditional inking methods with digital techniques.

His work tells stories rooted in legend and cultural heritage, inviting passengers to pause and reflect.

Cabin artwork has been thoughtfully designed to immerse guests in an Asian-themed atmosphere, celebrating the region's landscapes, colours and natural motifs. Each deck features corridor pieces inspired by the ship's deck names, which are titled after iconic Asian cities.

At the indoor pool, passengers will find a water droplet installation by artist Elisabetta Milan, measuring 1.5m wide and 2.45m tall, designed to create a sense of lightness and fluidity.

This comes after the ship has already shared some details about the new vessel. It will also boast the longest dry slide at sea. Named The Spiral @ Tree of Life, it will measure more than 81 metres.

Guests can also expect a new specialty restaurant, Pan-Asian Street Food, which will serve dishes from Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia.
