Jet2 has announced Chania in Crete for summer 2026

This will be the first time travellers from East Midlands have direct access to Crete's western region. The Chania route comes as part of the bigger summer 2026 schedule from East Midlands, which has 43 destinations in total.

Seven entirely new routes are being introduced for the season, including Agadir, Costa de Almeria, Pula, Preveza, Thessaloniki and Split, alongside the Chania service.

Visitors to Chania can enjoy discovering traditional harbours alongside emerald lagoons and tranquil lakes throughout the region.

The destination offers numerous Blue Flag beaches for relaxation, whilst history enthusiasts will find plenty sites to explore. The area combines coastal resort options with authentic Greek experiences.

Chania Town offers tourists a blend of medieval architecture and sandy beaches, giving a genuine taste of traditional Greece.

Jet2holidays packages will include their standard 22kg luggage allowance, complimentary child places, and the presence of customer helpers at the resort. All holiday bookings come with ATOL protection and include return transfers as part of the tour operator's comprehensive service offering.

CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, said: “After experiencing continued demand for our award-winning flights and holidays to Greece, we are pleased to announce our 10th Greek destination from East Midlands Airport for Summer 26.

"We know just how much holidaymakers enjoy soaking up the sun in Chania, and we are delighted to be offering the chance for customers and independent travel agents in the region to explore this beautiful area of Crete for the very first time.
