French ski resorts are the ones to beat this winter, with new research crowning them Europe's finest destinations for hitting the slopes.
Chamonix has come out on top with an impressive overall score of 9.94 out of 10.
The study by airport transfer specialists hoppa looked at everything from annual snowfall and dining options, to nightlife and how long it takes to get there from the airport.
French resorts claimed all three podium spots, with Courchevel and Tignes following close behind. All locations were given a score out of 10.

Chamonix in France is a world-renowned ski destination

Bansko is the most affordable option

Courchevel, in second place, is perfect for those seeking a touch of luxury on the slopes. The resort is home to 13 Michelin-starred restaurants, including Le Sarkara, Le 1947 à Cheval Blanc, and Baumaniere 1850.
Tignes rounds out the French trio and is a safe bet for snow lovers, receiving nearly 700cm of the white stuff annually.
Ski passes are also easier on the wallet, at just under £50 per day. For those watching their budget, Bansko in Bulgaria has been named the best hidden gem thanks to its affordability, with daily passes averaging just £28.63 - the cheapest on the list.
