Holidaymakers will have more options when travelling to Italy

easyJet revealed plans for a new service connecting Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Naples, beginning on August 3, 2026. The Italian route will run twice each week, departing on Mondays and Fridays.

Tickets for the new connection are on sale now through the airline's website and mobile application. The service opens up southern Italy to travellers across the Northwest, offering access to the historic city known for its authentic pizza and proximity to the ancient ruins of Pompeii.

The coastal destination is great for weekend breaks, with visitors able to experience Naples' culinary scene and cultural attractions.

To handle the increased demand, easyJet will station an extra aircraft at Liverpool next summer, bringing its local fleet to nine planes. The new Airbus A320neo will help the carrier maintain its position as Liverpool's biggest airline.

The Naples service forms part of easyJet's extensive Liverpool operation, which now covers 41 destinations across 17 nations in Europe and North Africa.

The budget carrier currently flies from 22 UK airports, running more than 630 routes to 140 destinations throughout Europe and beyond.

easyJet UK country manager, Kevin Doyle, said: “In our 30th year, we’re still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in the UK.

"With this latest new route from Liverpool to the vibrant city of Naples now available to book for flights and package holidays for next summer, we’re continuing to provide our customers in the Northwest with even more choice and connectivity at fantastic fares, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard.”

Head of PR & communications at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Robin Tudor, added: “It’s great to see easyJet operate flights to Naples from Liverpool.

"Travellers from across the City Region, the North-West and North Wales can now choose to fly from Liverpool to Naples, where they can explore the famous ancient Roman city of Pompeii, head up to Mount Vesuvius or visit Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

"There is so much to see and do in this part of Italy, we expect this new route to be very popular - not forgetting that it’s also the birthplace of pizza, of course.”
