Edinburgh has secured its place as the only UK destination on a list of European Christmas markets most likely to experience snow this winter.
The Scottish capital's East Princes Street Gardens market joins 31 other festive locations across Europe that could offer visitors a genuine white Christmas experience.
Travel platform Omio has identified these markets after examining weather patterns across 51 European destinations, looking specifically for locations where temperatures typically drop below 2°C - the point at which snow becomes possible.
It's great news for British festive fans who won't need to venture far for a potential winter wonderland experience as Edinburgh made the list.

It comes as worldwide Google searches for "Christmas market Europe" jumped by an incredible 359 per cent over the past three months. People clearly can't resist the appeal of festive markets abroad this year.
Omio's comprehensive study looked at monthly weather averages to find which markets offer the best chance of experiencing that magical snowy atmosphere. They named more than 30 Christmas markets across Europe where visitors could enjoy a white Christmas before the big day arrives.
The analysis focused on destinations where temperatures regularly fall below 2°C, creating perfect conditions for snowfall and that authentic winter wonderland feeling.

Two additional Finnish markets share second place alongside Kraków's Main Market Square in Poland, all recording average lows of -2°C.
Picture yourself wandering through food and craft stalls while live Christmas carols play and snow gently falls - it's enough to make anyone feel festive. For those who prefer milder conditions, Prague's Old Town Square and Edinburgh both average around 2°C.
