Looking for an affordable UK getaway? It turns out Derry is the place to be for budget-conscious holidaymakers.

The Northern Irish city has claimed the crown as the UK's most wallet-friendly staycation destination, where you can enjoy a meal for just £10 and a pint for £3.97.

It's the cheapest pint price found anywhere in the country, shows new research, coming in 21 per cent below what most of us are used to paying.

These prices have helped Derry, also known as Londonderry, beat out stiff competition from other popular destinations across the country, according to findings by SumUp.
