The routes are great for an off-season getaway

British Airways is set to expand its short-haul network to 130 destinations with the launch of three new routes from London this winter.

BA Euroflyer will introduce year-round services from Gatwick to Morocco's capital Rabat and the Austrian city of Graz from November 2025. Meanwhile, BA Cityflyer will add 11 weekly flights between London City Airport and Madrid starting in December.

The expansion strengthens the airline's European and North African connectivity, with Rabat becoming the carrier's third Moroccan destination alongside Marrakech and Agadir.

All three routes went on sale today for travel during the upcoming winter season. BA Euroflyer's Gatwick-based operations will see the Airbus A320 fleet deployed on both new routes. The Rabat service launches on November 5, 2025, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Graz flights begin on November 21, 2025, running three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Austrian route marks a big milestone as no other carrier currently offers direct flights between London and Graz.

Both destinations will feature Club Europe business class options, providing enhanced personal space, full meal service with complimentary drinks, and increased baggage allowance. Business class passengers at Gatwick can access British Airways' recently refurbished Club lounge.

BA Cityflyer will commence its London City to Madrid service on December 1, 2025, operating 11 weekly flights. This brings the total weekly frequency to Madrid to 44 flights when combined with the existing Heathrow service.

The flight schedule has been specifically designed to optimise connections through Madrid, particularly for South American destinations including Bogotá, Montevideo and Lima. Both inbound and outbound timings facilitate seamless onward travel.

The new route caters to both business and leisure travellers, offering increased flexibility from London's most centrally located airport. Six days per week will see morning departures from Madrid, with evening services from London City operating on most weekdays and Sundays.

Managing director of BA Euroflyer Karen Hilton said: "We're excited to further strengthen our connectivity between London and Austria with the addition of Graz.

"We will be the only direct operation between the two cities, offering more choice to our customers, whether it's for business, leisure, or visiting friends and family.

"With its year-round warm weather, Morocco is ideal for those seeking an off-season escape without a lengthy flight time. The addition of Rabat means we now fly to three fantastic destinations in Morocco, an excellent choice for families, couples, and friends alike."

Fares start from £60 each way to Graz, £70 to Rabat, and £78 to Madrid, all including taxes and carrier fees.

This comes as an affordable airline announced it will become the first to run direct routes from a UK airport to a popular Asian holiday spot.
