Millions of Britons fly to Spain every year, with travellers jetting off from airports all over the United Kingdom.

Tourists will soon have more options as low-cost airline Vueling has unveiled new routes to Spain from four major UK cities in time for summer.

The budget carrier has confirmed it will add more Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff services to its summer schedule.

Vueling flights operate from Manchester and Edinburgh to Barcelona, with five weekly flights connecting Birmingham to the Spanish city for £44.99 per person.

The airline’s website now states that additional routes will operate throughout the year, including winter.

Meanwhile, Vueling will run daily flights between Manchester and Barcelona, starting at £36.99, with the route operating year-round.

The budget airline currently flies eight daily services from London’s Gatwick Airport.

Earlier this year, Vueling announced the launch of two new routes from London Heathrow (LHR), with services operating between the UK to Barcelona El Prat and Paris Orly.

Tickets for the LHR route to Barcelona start at around £34.99 one way, and Paris Orly from £39.99. These prices kicked off on April 7th.

A spokesperson for the airline noted that the new route was “especially well-time for the upcoming Paris Olympics, giving fans a great value option to travel to the French capital to watch some of the biggest sports stars in action.”

They continued: “Barcelona is our largest hub and we will now offer up to 10 daily flights from London overall.

“Paris Orly is our second largest operating base and is currently not served from Heathrow at all. This relaunch has been possible thanks to our strong collaboration with British Airways.”

The list of destinations served by London’s airport is constantly changing. In recent news, Jet2 launched new routes linking Bournemouth to Spain.

The airline announced last month that its 2025 summer schedule will include more trips from Bournemouth as the seaside town becomes its 12th UK base.
