Virgin Media will pay £75 towards your broadband bills if you switch today
VIRGIN MEDIA PRESS OFFICE
For a limited time, you'll also swerve the £35 set-up fee
Virgin Media is offering to pay £75 towards your monthly broadband bills. Not only that, but the broadband firm has also waived its usual £35 set-up fee, so you can make the switch from one of its biggest rivals, including BT, EE and Sky Broadband, at no cost.
The latest deal is only available on its M250 fibre broadband plan, which unlocks download speeds of 264Mbps. That’s 3.8x faster than the average UK home broadband, as measured by Ofcom.
For comparison, Netflix says you’ll need a minimum of 5Mbps to stream its shows and movies in High Definition (HD) quality — so M250 should offer plenty of bandwidth even for the busiest households, with multiple people trying to stream TV shows, make video calls, and download software to their devices.
Virgin Media’s M250 costs £33 per month, with the initial contract term set at 24 months.
However, thanks to that £75 in bill credit, you won’t have to pay anything for the first two months. The third month will also be discounted as Virgin Media automatically applies the £75 allowance.
If you live in one of the 16.2 million homes connected to the Virgin Media fibre network, you'll be able to sign-up for the M250 broadband plan and receive the £75 bill credit
VIRGIN MEDIA O2 PRESS OFFICEFollowing its merger with O2 in June 2021, all new and existing Virgin Media customers are eligible for O2 Priority. The popular loyalty scheme includes early access to concert tickets for O2 venues, discounted cinema tickets, and free hot drinks from high street coffee shops every week.
If you're looking for an alternative to Virgin Media, BT is giving away a £50 Reward Card with select broadband plans. This prepaid debit card can be spent anywhere that accepts Mastercard.
If you’re looking for speeds to match Virgin Media’s M250 plan, you’ll need either BT Full Fibre 100, which offers download speeds of 150Mbps, or Full Fibre 500, which offers 500Mbps.
Virgin Media’s fibre broadband is available at over 16.2 million homes across the UK. Your home will need to be on the network to take advantage of the latest promotion.
You can check whether your postcode is included on the Virgin Media network here.
Virgin Media hasn’t got quite the same reach as BT-owned Openreach, which covers roughly 99% of all homes and businesses nationwide. It’s used by broadband brands like BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk and Shell Energy ...although that could change following confirmation from Virgin Media that it'll open up its broadband infrastructure to other companies in a direct challenge to Openreach.
Sign up today and you won’t have to worry about an annual price rise until April 2025. Virgin Media O2 recently confirmed it was increasing bills by over 8% for existing customers.
