Sky is bringing more channels to the TV Guide on its Sky Glass and Sky Stream devices as part of an unprecedented expansion of Premier League coverage. And there's even an update to ageing Sky Q boxes too, despite the British broadcaster winding down its satellite engineers and shifting towards streaming television.
In a nutshell: if you subscribe to Sky Sports, you're about to unlock a blockbuster upgrade.
For the first time, Sky TV viewers will have access to a minimum of 215 live matches — a significant step-up from the previous 128 games available each season.
That includes every displaced Sunday 2pm kick-off, marking a first in British broadcasting.
Sky Sports+ will be deeply-integrated into the SkyOS software that powers Sky Glass and Sky Stream, as well as the older operating system found on Sky Q and all Sky Sports mobile applications
| SKY TV PRESS OFFICEWith so much football to watch, Sky has introduced a new Multiview feature on Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, Sky Stream, and the original all-in-one Sky Glass television. This clever feature lets you stream four football matches simultaneously on a single screen.
This dynamic format switches between grounds to capture goals and key moments. You won't even miss out on expert input with dedicated commentary and half-time analysis in this mode. While Sky Sports+ was announced last year, the latest update will bring these channels to the TV Guide, eliminating the need to access them through a separate app.
You'll be able to add selected matches to your Playlist alongside your favourite programmes. The system will display on-screen match reminders across all channels when live sport is available.
SkyOS is the custom software designed by teams inside Sky to power the latest generation of Sky Glass TVs and its Sky Stream set-top boxes
| SKY TV PRESS OFFICESkyOS — the operating system that powers the latest generation of Sky devices — gains the ability to start matches from the beginning even if you've joined late, or replay an entire game after it's wrapped up. New pages dedicated to football teams will let you track all coverage of your favourite club in one convenient location.
If you're still watching on Sky Q, which does not use SkyOS, you'll need to continue accessing Sky Sports+ content via the app, rather than the TV Guide. However, Sky has promised a refreshed interface for the app is coming soon.
You'll also benefit from the same replay and watch-from-start features found on Sky Glass and Sky Stream. Multiview mode works across all Sky TV platforms, including Sky Q, as well as NOW (née NOW TV) viewers.
The Sky Sports Premier League presenting line-up has a new addition from this season with Mark Chapman bringing his wealth of broadcasting experience to the existing team of David Jones and Kelly Cates

Discussing the changes, Chief Sports Officer for Sky, Jonathan Licht stated: "This is a landmark season for Sky Sports and the Premier League. For the first time, we’ll bring fans over 215 live matches, including every 2pm kick-off on Super Sunday.
"We’re introducing new innovations like Multiview, new programmes like Super Sunday: Extra Time, and a new look schedule for Sky Sports News. From the moment the season kicks off, we’ll be helping fans stay across all the biggest stories and making sure they never miss a moment of the action."

Sky Stream has never been this affordable. The broadcaster has just launched an affordable new bundle of channels and on-demand services, dubbed TV Essentials. It includes its plug-and-play Sky Stream box, over 100 live channels including Sky Atlantic — the exclusive home of shows like Game of Thrones, And Just Like That, and The White Lotus. You'll also find a subscription to Netflix and Discovery+ included too and can upgrade to Sky Cinema and Sky Sports at an extra cost.
