The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is the most affordable mobile out of the flaghsip lineup
| SAMSUNG PRESS OFFICEIf you're not familiar with this model in Samsung's flagship models, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE was announced earlier this year during a packed keynote in Berlin, Germany.
The "FE" stands for "Fan Edition", a long-running subsection of Galaxy smartphones designed to be more affordable than the standard Galaxy S lineup, while still delivering some of the latest features.
On the front, there's a generous 6.7-inch AMOLED display — that's the same size as the £999 Galaxy S25+. Samsung has equipped that screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for buttery-smooth animations and scrolling.
On the back, there's a triple camera system spearheaded by a 50MP main camera, 8MP telephoto camera that's capable of 3x lossless zoom (and a whopping 30x maximum zoom), and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123˚ field-of-view to capture large group shots. On the front, there's a 12MP camera for crisp selfies and video calls.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
The cameras on the Galaxy S25 FE enable a slew of fun features, letting you transform any video into en epic slow motion video with Instant Slow-mo and erase unwanted background chatter or wind noise from your clips with Audio Eraser. Auto Trim will automatically choose the best moments from your footage, saving you time (and effort) editing the holiday videos into a quick clip to share in the group chat.
Night photography gets a serious boost thanks to the new Low Noise Mode that ekes out as much light as possible, even in dimly-lit restaurant shots or late-night concerts.
Powering Galaxy S25 FE is a generous 4,900mAh battery (again, the same size that you'll find inside the pricier Galaxy S25+), which Samsung says should be more than enough to keep your handset powered all day. When it's time to recharge, Galaxy S25 FE uses 45W wired charging for speedy power-ups.
Just like the pricier Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra announced earlier this year, the Galaxy S25 FE is brimming with the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
From the Now Brief, which anticipates what you need to know throughout your day — pulling information from across fitness apps and calendars, to Generative Edit that that now identifies unwanted people in the background of your photo and removes them automatically – no more fiddling with manual selections, AI is everywhere in Galaxy S25 FE. Circle to Search lets you highlight anything on-screen and start a Google search immediately.
Google's Gemini Live feature is present and corrret too, letting AI peer through the camera system on the Galaxy S25 FE to help out. So you can ask questions like "which of these menu items are suitable for vegetarians?" while pointing the Galaxy S25 FE at a menu while travelling abroad.
Galaxy AI features introduced with the Galaxy S24 series last year make a return with the next-generation handset, including real-time transcription or translation for incoming calls and video chats. Galaxy AI can also quickly summarise lengthy PDFs, webpages, and emails into a quick recap or bullet points.
Samsung's Writing Assist features are available across the Android operating system. Highlight text and Galaxy AI will offer to proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes. It can also adjust the tone of your writing — helpful if you need to make an email or cover letter sound more formal, or want to add some fun into your text.
