Beats unveils new Powerbeats Fit 'buds with fitness-focused redesign, noise-cancellation, battery life boost

That improves upon the AirPods Pro 3, which were announced earlier this month by Beats parent company Apple.

While each 'bud enjoys up to 8 hours of listening time on a single charge with Active Noise Cancellation enabled, which is better than the Powerbeats Fit, the total charging time with the carry case tops out at 24 hours. The new Powerbeats Fit are sweat- and water-resistant with an IPX4 rating, making them durable enough to withstand intense workouts — whether in rain, snow, or heat. If you've used previous earbuds from Beats, you'll find plenty of familiar features here.

The custom-designed Apple H1 chip powers the same seamless connectivity that made earlier versions so popular, including automatic device switching between iPhone, iPad, or Mac, as well as hands-free "Hey Siri" support for iOS users to summon the chatty AI assistant.

There's also support for Find My to keep tabs on your 'buds and Audio Sharing, so you can play songs, audiobooks, or watch a video with the audio beamed to two pairs of earbuds. Like AirPods, once you've connected them to a single Apple device, Powerbeats Fit appear on all gadgets connected to that Apple Account.

For Android users, the Beats App enables one-touch pairing, customisable controls, real-time battery status, Locate My Beats to replicate Find My functionality, and a Fit Test to help find the ideal ear tip size. On-device controls let you easily manage music playback, adjust volume, switch listening modes, handle calls, and activate your voice assistant.

There's support for Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) to help you focus on your workout — quashing unwanted distracting background noise so you can lower your volume levels and still hear everything, while Transparency mode keeps you aware of your surroundings when you need it. The Adaptive EQ uses built-in microphones to adjust the sound based on how the earbuds fit inside your ears and compensate for everyone's unique ear profile. Those microphones are also used to dictate voice memos, make hands-free calls, and chat to an AI assistant on your device.

There's no built-in heart-rate sensor to measure calories burned, unlike the pricier Powerbeats Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3.

Powerbeats Fit are available in a choice of Jet Black, Gravel Grey, Spark Orange, and Power Pink. These new 'buds will be available on UK store shelves from October 2, 2025. Powerbeats Fit packaging is made from 100% plant-based material sourced from recycled fibre.
