It's rare to find a discount on the latest iPhone model — but that's exactly what you'll find in the Prime Day sale. Amazon has slashed over £100 off the iPhone 16e, which only launched back in February.
With the discount, you'll be able to pocket the iPhone 16e for just £494, that's the lowest ever price for this handset. It's unusual to see such generous discounts on the iPhone 16e, something that you won't find in your local Apple Store.
Save £105 on iPhone 16e in the Prime Day sale
iPhone 16e, released earlier this year, was already the most affordable model in the iPhone 16 lineup. Despite the smaller price tag, it'll feature a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR OLED display, A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, 48MP rear camera, USB‑C, Face ID, IP68 water resistance, and up to 26 hours of video playback. Available in Black or White

During the Black Friday sales, Apple offers a Gift Card with credit for its store with select purchases... but we've never seen the Californian company cut the price of the handset by as much as £105.
The iPhone 16e is available for £494 in both White and Black colourways.
But this isn't the only iPhone model to receive a price cut in the Prime Day sales. At least £100 has been cut from almost every handset in the iPhone 16 lineup.
That cuts the standard iPhone 16 to just £698, iPhone 16 Pro to £898, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max for £1,098. This isn't the first time we've seen these models drop below £700, but nonetheless, it's still a great deal.
What's the catch? Access to Prime Day deals is restricted to those with an active Amazon Prime membership.
This loyalty scheme offers access to next-day delivery on hundreds of thousands of products, as well as access to Prime Video — the Netflix rival run by Amazon that's home to exclusive shows like Clarkson's Farm, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Grand Tour, and Reacher, Kindle books to borrow each month, free video games via Prime Gaming, unlimited cloud storage to back-up your photo library, and much more.
Prime costs £8.99 a month, although there is a £95 annual plan that offers some savings.
Not an Amazon Prime member, but still want to shop the Prime Day sales? Amazon offers a 30-day free trial that unlocks all membership benefits, including early access to deals, next-day delivery at no cost, access to TV shows and movies on Prime Video, and more. Cancel anytime during the trial period to avoid paying anything.

Missed the iPhone 16e announcement?
iPhone 16e arrives with an all-screen design, single 48MP rear-facing camera, a customisable Action Button, and support for Apple Intelligence. It starts from £599 — that's £200 cheaper than the standard iPhone 16, which was the most affordable handset in the iPhone 16 series until today.
iPhone 16e is a spiritual successor to the popular iPhone SE, which has been discontinued with the arrival of this new model. It brings several of the same features found on its pricing siblings, including Apple Intelligence, an Action Button, and a 48MP Fusion camera system, to a lower price point.
Under the bonnet of the iPhone 16e is Apple's A18 system-on-a-chip, which promises to deliver speedy performance, on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, and long battery life.
iPhone 16e offers several features that were previously exclusive to pricier iPhone models from Apple
APPLE PRESS OFFICEYes, Apple is making some big claims about the battery life packed inside the iPhone 16e, which it has branded "the best battery life ever on a 6.1-inch iPhone". According to tests conducted by the firm, iPhone 16e can last up to six hours longer than an iPhone 11 and up to 12 hours longer than all iPhone SE models.
In total, iPhone 16e is capable of 26 hours of video playback on iPhone 16e — that means you won't have to pack an external pack even when you're flying from the UK to Australia.
When the time finally comes to recharge the iPhone 16e, it supports wireless charging and USB-C.
