Honor just launched its brand-new Windows 11 laptop at a glitzy London event, where it also unwrapped its new Magic V5 foldable Android smartphone.

Dubbed MagicBook Art 14, this top-tier notebook arrives with a strong and ultra-thin design. That durability comes from the aerospace-grade magnesium alloy case — a new material for laptops.

Even the keyboard is made from a titanium alloy to bolster the overall strength, so you don't need to worry about damaging the laptop by hammering out an email on the keys.

At just 1cm thick and tipping the scales at 1kg, this is a very svelte machine that should be barely noticeable in your backpack. Despite its lightweight and svelte case, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 manages to squeeze a 14.6-inch OLED display into its case, thanks to the 97% screen-to-body ratio.

That screen is something to behold, Honor says, because of its 3120 x 2080 resolution for a crisp image on-screen. It also packs a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth animations and fast-paced gameplay.

It's also one of the brightest screens you'll find on any Windows laptop at the moment, with a peak brightness of 1,600-nits. That means you'll be able to use your notebook outdoors without any hassle.

Honor has coated the ultra-crisp display in a new anti-reflection coating that it believes will help with distracting glare.

Despite the paper-thin design, Honor says its new MagicBook boasts 10-hour battery life, which should be enough to last an entire work day or a longhaul flight without a charger in sight.

The webcam is housed inside a small compartment in the side of the lightweight laptop, next to the USB-C ports. Remove the camera, and it can be attached to the top of the screen via magnets

MagicBook Art 14 has a detachable webcam that snaps to the top of the laptop screen via magnets. When it's connected, it draws power from the laptop and offers a crisp video feed.

During in-person meetings and interviews, the camera will use AI to keep you in the viewfinder automatically. Flip around the magnetic camera to capture what you're facing.

When you're not using the webcam, it has a small compartment in the side of the laptop beside the USB-C ports for safekeeping. This is designed to boost your privacy, since the camera is only available when you need it.

Powering the MagicBook Art 14 is an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, which meets the minimum requirements to make this svelte Honor laptop a Copilot+ PC, which adds extra Windows 11 features that aren't available on older machines that update to the latest Microsoft operating system.

The new system-on-a-chip from Intel has a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to handle on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) tasks. Honor has taken advantage of these capabilities to build a new AI-powered search tool for its new laptop to trawl through everything stored on the 1TB SSD for documents, pictures, videos, and more.

Those AI capabilities come in handy for noise cancellation during video calls too. Honor has equipped its Windows 11 notebook with a triple-microphone design that's designed to offer clarity for those on the other end of the call.

If you're tempted by the new MagicBook Art 14, but don't have an Honor-branded smartphone in your pocket — don't worry. The Chinese brand has built a new software feature called Honor Share to effortlessly transfer files, pictures, and videos between Apple and Honor devices at high speed, almost like a universal AirDrop.

MagicBook Art 14 ships with Windows 11 Home preinstalled, which will be handy for anyone concerned about the upcoming Windows 10 deadline that could see millions of desktop PCs and laptops sent to landfill.

Honor charges £1,499.99 for the MagicBook Art 14.

For a limited time, you can unlock a £400 discount from the Honor online store. You'll need to be quick as Honor will close its generous discount at 11.59pm on August 31, 2025.

Anyone who upgrades to the MagicBook Art 14 will unlock a free one-year subscription to Microsoft 365, unlocking access to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other popular productivity apps.
