Amazon Prime Video is down as thousands of people can't use streaming platform

Amazon Prime Video is currently down, with thousands of people unable to access the streaming platform.
Some 1,112 reports have been issued on Downdetector.com in the past hour.
Some 74 per cent are reporting outages with the streaming service, and 21 per cent on the app.
Users have been taking to social media, reporting outages for the platform.
One social media user wrote: "Amazon streaming down, it seems. What happened to 100 per cent uptime?"
Reacting to the post, another user said: "Mine's down too."
Initial reports of outages began at just before 10am, as thousands of people shared they could not use the service.
The Downdetector map showed that London, Manchester and Glasgow reported the most outages.

Approximately 13 million people in the UK are signed up to Amazon Prime, with over 250 million subscribers across the UK.
The service is a one-stop entertainment platform, featuring movies, TV shows and live sport.
Blockbuster movies are available on the streaming site, including Oppenheimer and Barbie.
The platform is available across multiple devices, including smartphone, tablets, game consoles and smart TVs.
Prime Video bosses recently sparked outrage amongst James Bond fans after digitally erasing firearms from promotional artwork for the iconic spy franchise.
Amazon paid upwards of £790million to buy MGM, which acquired them the Bond franchise.
However, the streaming service's decision to publish modified posters on its UK website last week, removing 007's signature weapons from classic film artwork, sparked major backlash.
Critics shared their disgust with the move on social media.

Elsewhere, a third took action: "Just cancelled Amazon Prime. Don't ever photoshop the gun out of James Bond's hand.
"That's too woke. Besides, I never get a Prime package the next day anymore, it's always promised and never delivered. F**k Amazon!!"
