For its Boxing Day sale, Amazon has slashed the price of multiple pairs of these bestselling 'buds.
Not every model included in the sale is the latest-and-greatest from Apple, so you'll need to double-check before adding anything to your basket if you want the cutting-edge features. Here's a quick rundown of the AirPods on sale:
AirPods 4 | Was £119, NOW £99 – LOWEST EVER PRICE
Released in September 2024, these AirPods brought an entirely new design to the entry-level AirPods with a shorter stem, better sound quality with support for Spatial Audio, and better microphones for hands-free calls.
Apple also added IP54 dust and water resistance, so these Bluetooth 'buds can withstand sweat in the gym or downpour. Battery life was also improved compared to the first-generation AirPods, but you miss out on active noise-cancellation.
AirPods 4 with ANC | Was £169, NOW £149 – NOT THE LOWEST EVER PRICE
This pair is identical to the standard AirPods 4, but includes support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to block out distractions around you. Unlike the pricier Pro models, AirPods 4 with ANC don't have a silicone tip to create a seal inside your ear, so don't expect as much isolation from the outside world.
Amazon has previously sold these noise-cancelling 'buds for £135, so best to avoid them in the Boxing Day sale.
AirPods Pro 2 | Was £229, NOW £169 – LOWEST EVER PRICE
Initially launched back in September 2022, these bestselling 'buds cost £229 for most of their lifespan and offered improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), better audio quality, and an adaptive transparency mode that let you hear tannoy announcements at airports or railway stations without taking out your earbud.
Compared to the first iteration, AirPods Pro 2 offer longer battery life — adding an extra hour of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Just 5 minutes plugged into the mains refills these 'buds with 60 minutes of listening time.
At £169, the AirPods Pro 2 have returned to the record-low price last seen during the Black Friday sale.

If you want the latest iteration of the AirPods Pro, Apple announced a major redesign back in September. Regardless of whether you pick the AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3, you won't miss out on the latest software features announced for the AirPods, including the ability to nod your head to accept an incoming call, shake to dismiss one, and hear a real-time translation of a face-to-face conversation played in your ears.
You'll need to have an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence in your pockets for this to work, but then you'll be able to hear a real-time translation in your ear as someone is speaking to you in another language.
If they don't have a pair of AirPods in their ears, you can hold up your iPhone, and it'll show a translation of your reply on-screen.
iOS 26 also adds Live Translation (beta), which allows real-time translation during face-to-face conversations directly through the AirPods Pro

Another standout improvement is automatic pausing — music, podcasts, or other media will pause automatically when the system detects you’ve fallen asleep. The update also adds battery notifications, letting you know when the AirPods case or the earbuds themselves are low on power or fully charged.
Studio-quality recording ensures clearer voice capture even in noisy environments, while enhanced voice quality on calls and FaceTime delivers more natural, crisp vocals. Additionally, a handy camera remote feature lets you trigger the camera shutter or start video recording by pressing the stem of the AirPods.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
These 'buds boast Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that's twice as powerful as the first-generation models to effectively block out unwanted background noise, like the rumble of an aeroplane engine, the chug of the train tracks on your commute, or whirrrrr of the office printer behind your desk.
Apple added new capabilities to these flagship earbuds earlier this year, including Conversation Awareness, which automatically lowers volume when you're speaking to someone nearby. Apple also enabled more functionality, which enables these 'buds to become medical-grade hearing aids.
The earbuds also support Spatial Audio for a more immersive sound experience and now come with a USB-C charging port, so you can use the same cable for your iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Nintendo Switch, MacBook Pro, and Android devices when away from home.
When you do need to let some of the outside in, AirPods Pro include Transparency mode that lets your surroundings cut-through the audio, while Adaptive Audio is an intelligent blend of both of these modes. Apple says you can expect six-hours of music playback with ANC switched on. The carry case will recharged the earbuds, adding up to 30-hours of listening time in total.
With the second-generation AirPods Pro, Apple added small speaker to the case, so that it can now emit a sound to help you find it when it's been misplaced. Both earbuds and the carry case can all be tracked individually via GPS in the Find My app preinstalled on all iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.
With the second-generation model of the AirPods Pro, Apple added a lanyard loop and tweaked the case so that it's sweat- and water-resistant — just like the Bluetooth earbuds themselves. Both features remain on the AirPods Pro 3 too.
