Jack Draper has quickly become a new superstar in Britain with his recent tennis escapades

British tennis sensation Jack Draper is embracing his newfound fame as he rises to world No.5 and takes his place as British No.1, admitting he will speak to Andy Murray.

The 23-year-old left-hander has seen his profile soar following an impressive run to the US Open semi-finals and claiming victory at Indian Wells.

Now the Madrid finalist is preparing for the French Open as fifth seed, whilst adjusting to the increased attention that comes with his elevated status in the sport.

The British No.1 is keenly aware that the spotlight will intensify as Wimbledon approaches, and he plans to seek advice from Andy Murray on handling the growing expectations.

"What will come there will be a new experience for me," Draper acknowledged. "I'll definitely pick Andy's brains here and there."

He added: "Like Andy always said, expectation is one thing, but I'm going to have a lot of love from people.

"I'm gonna have a lot of the crowds behind me at Queens and Wimbledon and that helps massively."

Draper also has recently starred in a high-profile Burberry campaign alongside supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, marking his most prestigious modelling assignment to date.

The campaign featured the pair diving off a yacht into the Persian Gulf, with Draper describing it as "a really fun campaign."

"I've never met her before, didn't know much about her in all honesty but she was lovely," Draper said of Huntington-Whiteley.

"She was really down to earth, really kind and she made me feel very comfortable."

The rising tennis star has also garnered attention for his distinctive hairstyle, which has caused quite a stir on social media, with some publications describing it as a "Peaky Blinders" look.

Despite the online frenzy, Draper insists there's nothing new about his appearance.

"I've had the same shocking haircut since I was 14," he explained.

"It's the same one I've had always. So it's nothing new. But more people probably are taking more attention and stuff."

Despite never having won a match at Roland Garros, Draper is approaching the French Open with newfound confidence on clay.

"When I've played here in the past, I don't feel like I've entered the court with any confidence or any belief," he admitted.

The Briton is expected to face Italian world No.68 Mattia Bellucci in his opening match.

"With the way I'm playing I feel confident. I think there's a good chance I can do really well. I'm looking forward to that challenge," Draper said.
