The German has named his squad for the clashes against Andorra and Senegal

Thomas Tuchel has named his second England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Andorra and Senegal friendly.

The German has included a shock call-up for Ivan Toney after an impressive run of form in the Saudi Pro League.

The 29-year-old has scored 29 goals for Al-Ahli, and it is his first call-up to the squad since moving to the club for a reported £40million in the summer.

Along with Toney, Trevoh Chalobah's fine form for Chelsea has been rewarded. It is a first senior call-up for the 25-year-old.

Atletico Madrid's Conor Gallagher and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White have also returned, with both midfielders playing important roles in their respective sides' European pushes.

At the same time, some of the big names that have missed out include Manchester City’s Phil Foden, and Europa League winner Dominic Solanke, who has seen his spot replaced by Ollie Watkins.

Foden, 24, has scored just seven goals this year, and has started just one of the last eight games for Manchester City.

Solanke, 27, has scored just two Premier League goals this calendar year. Watkins, in comparison, has scored eight.

West Ham's Jarrod Bowen also misses out, as Bukayo Saka returns to the squad.

Saka missed out on the last squad due to injury, so it is no surprise to see him back in there. Bowen, however, has endured excellent form as of late, scoring five in his last seven for a below-par West Ham team. He can count himself unlucky.

Marcus Rashford and Marc Guehi have dropped from the squad due to injury.

Tuchel's questionable decision to pick four goalkeepers in his last squad has been reverted back to three, with Aaron Ramsdale the unlucky party to miss out.

After returning from injury, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been re-introduced to the squad, replacing the unlucky Tino Livramento. It will be his last call-up as a Liverpool player.

Livramento, 22, has featured in 36 of Newcastle's 37 Premier League games, as they have stormed into Champions League reckoning. He can also feel unfortunate to miss out.

Noni Madueke also receives a call up. The 23-year-old has 10 goal contributions in the Premier League so far, the same as Phil Foden, and it is his first call-up under Tuchel.

Jordan Henderson, who was a surprise inclusion to Tuchel's first squad, has retained his place.

England travel to Andorra on June 7 in a World Cup qualifier. They currently find themselves top of the table after beating Latvia and Albania without conceding a goal.

The Three Lions then host Senegal at the City Ground in Nottingham for a friendly.

On his decision to include Toney in the squad, Tuchel said: "We follow him closely like all the players on our list and it is the same for Ivan. He played a lot, we watched him a lot.

"He had massive contributions with decisive goals in important matches. He won a big title with his club, the Asian Champions League.

"I didn’t have the opportunity to see him live in Saudi Arabia so we took the opportunity to fly him into our camp and watch him live within the group, see his personality in the group and his quality."

The England boss then spoke on Chalobah's first inclusion in the senior squad: "We have some injuries in the central defender position and Trevoh has stepped up massively since he came back to Chelsea.

"Since last camp, even before, he was on our radar. Since the last camp he had a major contribution to the run of Chelsea that they are still fighting for the Champions League and he was one of their most consistent and best defenders.

"We think he deserves the call-up and maybe he gets his first cap."

Adam Wharton is another name that can feel extremely unlucky to miss out on the squad. His Crystal Palace side won the FA Cup last weekend - their first piece of silverware in their 120-year history.

On the surprise dismissal, Tuchel clarified: "Together with Tino Livramento, Jarrell Quansah, Eliott Anderson and Liam Delap who could play a role for us, there is a major tournament for the under-21s.

"The intention is they play a big part in this tournament. I like there is a chance for them to become leaders in this group and hopefully Lee [Carsley] relies on."
