Ex-Manchester United footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger and former tennis champion Ana Ivanovic have officially ended their marriage after nine years together.

The lawyer emphasised that no additional statements would be forthcoming from either party.
The announcement brings an end to months of speculation about the status of their relationship, with the sporting power couple maintaining silence on the matter until an official confirmation.
