Carlos Alcaraz's coaching team have been urged to stage an intervention with the tennis star following his Wimbledon final defeat to Jannik Sinner on Sunday.
Alcaraz went into the clash on Centre Court hoping to win the tournament for the third year on the trot after victories over Novak Djokovic in 2023 and 2024.
However, that didn't happen with Sinner ruthless as he secured a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win.
It was a remarkable performance from the world No 1, especially given how he'd lost to Alcaraz in heartbreaking fashion in the final of the French Open last month.

Former tennis star Alex Corretja has now reacted to Sunday's showdown.
And he's urged Alcaraz's coaching team to intervene to force the 22-year-old to take a brief break from tennis, despite the youngster being due to play at the Montreal Masters later this month.
Speaking to Marca, he said: "Everything that's happening to Alcaraz is good: when he wins and when he doesn’t.
“That awakens his hunger and desire to progress and evolve. If you only win, you think you're doing everything right. If you get beaten, then you think you're not unbeatable.

"I think Carlos Alcaraz needs a rest right now, so that in the second half of the season, when he sometimes loses some steam, he doesn't really arrive so lame for the rest of the season.
"I never interfere in the schedule my great friend Juan Carlos Ferrero [Alcaraz's coach] decides with Carlos Alcaraz, but I just hope he doesn't go to [Canada].
"I say this with all the affection and respect for the Canadian tournament. But I think Alcaraz would need to recover from all these efforts now.
"I think Carlos Alcaraz needs a bit of rest right now, so that in the second half of the season, when he sometimes loses some steam, he doesn't really end up feeling so weak for the rest of the season.

"They should seriously consider what they have to do, and whatever they decide will be fine because they are the team.
"But from the outside, I think, please don't let him go.”
Alcaraz has, however, insisted that's unlikely to be the case.
Last year, after losing to Novak Djokovic in the final of the Paris Olympics, he suffered an early exit from the US Open.

Yet Alcaraz wants to keep playing and clarified his stance by saying: Well, I think it’s different. It’s a different feeling, to be honest. Yeah, last year in the Olympics I was really bad emotionally after the match. It was really, really hard for me to accept that moment.
“Right now, I think in the last year I’ve been through different situations that I learned from them. Right now, I’m in a position where I’ve spoken a few times already that, okay, I just accept everything that is coming to me in the way it comes.
“Like, okay, I just lost a final in a Grand Slam, but I just really proud about being in a final. I just want to keep the good moments and trying to forget the bad moments
“I just want to think, okay, I just played a final in a Grand Slam, and trying to forget that I lost it. It’s just that I was able to play in it, and I just want to accept it.
“So right now I’m just, as I said, I’m not bad at all.
"I’m just happy. I’m smiling because in my head it was about playing the final and being grateful for that.”
