A ball kid collapsed during the opening day of Australian Open qualifying at Melbourne Park on Monday, sparking concern during a first-round encounter between Tunisian player Moez Echargui and France's Luca Van Assche.
The incident unfolded as television cameras captured Echargui towelling off during a break in play.
As the 22nd seed prepared to return to the baseline, the youngster stationed behind him began to lose their footing before tumbling to the ground.
Echargui reacted without hesitation, immediately abandoning his position to sprint towards the fallen ball kid whilst simultaneously calling for assistance from courtside officials.

The Tunisian player's swift intervention saw him reach the stricken youngster within moments, offering immediate support as the ball kid lay on the court surface.
An Australian Open official was also observed hurrying to the scene to provide assistance.
Fortunately, the young volunteer managed to regain their composure and stand up shortly after the fall, much to the relief of those watching.
Both Echargui and tournament staff helped steady the ball kid, with the umpire also lending a hand.
The quick response from all parties helped ease the tension that had momentarily gripped spectators witnessing the concerning episode.

The ball kid was subsequently guided away from the playing area to receive proper care, settling beneath a parasol at the side of the court.
A Tennis Australia representative arrived promptly to assess the youngster's condition and ensure their wellbeing.
The cause of the collapse has not been established, with tournament organisers yet to provide an explanation for what triggered the incident.
Multiple news outlets have sought comment from Tennis Australia regarding the matter.
Despite the worrying nature of the episode, the young volunteer appeared to recover sufficiently after being removed from the court, allowing proceedings to continue following the brief interruption.
Play resumed following the short stoppage, with Van Assche ultimately securing victory in straight sets.

The 21-year-old Frenchman claimed both sets by identical 6-4 scorelines, progressing to the second qualifying round despite the mid-match disruption.
Van Assche had established a commanding position before the incident occurred, leading by a set and holding a 2-1 advantage in the second when the ball kid fell.
He will next face Estonia's Daniil Glinka as he continues his bid to reach the main draw.
The qualifying rounds are set to continue throughout the week ahead of the tournament proper commencing next weekend.
