Female athletes targeted Nike with new ad

Female athletes have launched a pointed critique of Nike through a new XX-XY Athletics advertisement, challenging the sportswear giant's stance on transgender athletes in women's sports.

The video features several prominent female athletes delivering direct messages to Nike about fairness in competition and the protection of women's sports from biological male competitors.

Among those speaking out are former Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, professional golfer Lauren Miller, high school volleyball player Macey Boggs, and Payton McNabb, who suffered brain damage after being hit by a volleyball spiked by a transgender athlete.

Their collective message calls on Nike to take a stronger position defending women's sports and biological distinctions in athletic competition.

In the advertisement, Gaines directly invoked Nike's famous slogan, stating: "If I had a chance to talk to Nike, I would tell them to just do it. That's your slogan, isn't it, Nike? Just do it."

The former Kentucky Wildcats swimmer and OutKick contributor continued with a pointed clarification.

"When I say it, I mean the right thing. And that's defending women and biological reality," Gaines said.

Her message reflects growing frustration among female athletes who believe the sportswear company should take a stronger stance on protecting women's sports from transgender participation.

Other athletes in the video shared equally direct messages to Nike.

Professional golfer Lauren Miller urged the company to 'think about your daughters.'

"If we let men and boys continue to invade, women's sports will be erased," she warned.

Payton McNabb, who suffered brain damage after being hit by a spike from a biological male during a volleyball match, revealed the incident destroyed her college aspirations.

High school volleyball player Macey Boggs accused Nike of hypocrisy: "You're saying that you're supporting women, but you're not actually doing anything. You are using us when it's convenient, but in private, you're not doing anything about it."

Former NCAA swimmer Kaitlynn Wheeler and several other athletes also participated in the video.

Nike has faced recent criticism over allegations that it funded research on transgender youths in sports.
