Luke Littler managed to defeat Luke Humphries again on the second Premier League night of the season.

Luke Humphries has promised revenge on Luke Littler after the teenager defeated the world No 1 again on Thursday night.

Littler ended up losing to Humphries after reaching the World Championship final earlier this year to bring an end to his historic run.

But the teenager has had the better of Humphries in every meeting since, including Thursday night's latest clash in the Premier League.

Littler pulled off an impressive 6-5 win over Humphries at last month's Dutch Masters before thrashing the world champion 6-2 in the opening night of the Premier League season.

The pair faced off again in Berlin on Thursday in the semi-final of the second Premier League night.

And they were both on top of their game with a deciding leg needed to separate them.

Littler held his nerve to make it three consecutive wins over Humphries in a matter of weeks.

Humphries showed his class immediately after as he applauded the teen star on stage and they shared a warm embrace.

The 28-year-old was still in surprisingly high spirits as he was filmed by PDC's social media account leaving the venue after the loss.

But Humphries made a point to the camera that he'll get his revenge on Littler soon enough.

"I'm gonna get him," Humphries said while pointing to the camera.

"I'm gonna get him again."

Littler's win over Humphries saw him progress to the final for another meeting with Michael van Gerwen.

It was the third final in just a few weeks the two faced off against each other with both winning one apiece before Thursday's clash.

There was barely anything to separate them once again and Littler had two match darts to secure the win.

But he missed them both with Van Gerwen not making the same mistake on his next visit to the oche.

The Dutchman was glad to get one over Littler again, especially after a disappointing display during the Premier League season-opener last week.

"Sometimes I have the darts but to have games against Luke Littler is always good," Van Gerwen said.
