The three-time Super Bowl-winning coach claimed that the 36-year-old American football receiver still has the ability to play at the top level if he decides to continue for another season.

The Chiefs' absence from the playoffs marks their first failure to reach the postseason since 2014, ending a remarkable run of dominance.

Kelce, who looked particularly downbeat after missing the postseason, has completed 13 years in the NFL but has been criticised for his off-pitch antics, with fans accusing the player of focusing on his personal life.
The tight end announced his engagement to Taylor Swift in August 2025 after dating since mid-2023.
He has also refused to rule out retirement, avoiding speaking to the media post-game, leaving fans waiting.
Philadelphia's comprehensive 40-22 demolition of Kansas City at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans last February denied Kelce and Reid a historic third consecutive championship.

Speaking to the media, Reid addressed the situation.
He said: "We'll get to all that. Right now, you've got a little bit of time before all that stuff really needs to take place. I'm not trying to avoid your question, but that's what's real right now.
"I know everybody wants an answer right this minute. It's something that you've got to go through, there are a lot of variables there, but we all love Travis, we know that.
"Travis can still play and I'm not questioning that part or any of it. I just know there's time, it's the same way as last year. You've got a little bit of time there to figure everything out."
