Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay leave UK just days after controversial wedding

Both have wasted no time embracing their new status as a married couple, updating their social media profiles to reflect their combined surname, Ramsay Peaty.

The 31-year-old athlete married the 25-year-old influencer at Bath Abbey on Saturday in a ceremony that has been marred by an ongoing dispute with the groom's family.

Tensions between the Peaty and Ramsay families have escalated since Adam excluded his parents from the wedding and his mother was omitted from Holly's hen party celebrations.

The celebrity chef reportedly waded into the family dispute during his father of the bride speech, according to The Sun.

Gordon, 59, allegedly praised Holly's appearance and told Adam he was a "lucky man," suggesting he should "look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to."

The publication claims he then made a pointed remark about Adam's absent parents, telling his daughter: "Shame you don't have the same."

Reports also suggest the Olympic champion has now blocked his family members from contacting him.

During his own speech, Adam is believed to have made no reference to his parents, instead paying tribute to his swimming coach Mel Marshall, describing her as his "everything" and saying he viewed her "like a mum."

A family source has revealed that Caroline Peaty is "outraged" and "hurt" by Gordon's remarks at the reception.

The 60-year-old mother, who was barred from attending the lavish ceremony, believes the celebrity chef deliberately planned his cutting comments.

"Caroline can't believe Gordon brought their family troubles up his speech. It is outrageous and very hurtful," the source told the Daily Mail.

The source added that Gordon's suggestion Tana would be a good mother to the couple effectively portrayed Caroline as inadequate: "By him saying Tana will be a good mum to them both makes Caroline sound like a bad mum. It was a cruel dig at her."

Defending herself, the source stated: "She has always done her best for all her children. She is a very good mum."

The family source concluded: "We may not have much as a family but we have values."

The origins of this bitter family dispute trace back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly failed to invite extended Peaty relatives to their engagement celebration.

Caroline, who dedicated years to driving her son to early morning training sessions, was notably absent from Holly's hen party at Soho Farmhouse, despite Tana Ramsay and Victoria Beckham attending the exclusive gathering.

Just moments before entering the abbey with his five-year-old son George, Adam received a scathing text from his aunt Louise, who was also excluded from the guest list.

"I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still," she wrote.

"Shame on you both. Shame."

Adam's sister Bethany was the sole member of his family invited to both the wedding and hen party.
